November schedule changes

I'll have lots of schedule changes coming up in November. The biggest one is that I've decided to give up my Saturday classes at Express Fitness Plano. It was a very hard decision, as this was my first class and I absolutely love the students that attend. But I'm working towards a new teacher training program that begins in January, and this is the first step towards clearing my schedule in that direction.

Veria lunchtime (12:30pm) classes are canceled as of November 1st.

And lastly, I will be adding early morning classes at Gold's Gym beginning November 11th. These will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:15am. So come join us bright and early for a great way to start the day.

Upcoming November schedule changes

November will bring quite a few changes to my teaching schedule, so here's advance warning!

The lunchtime classes at Veria will come to an end at the end of October. So the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12:30pm classes will be canceled. These classes have been an absolutely blast these past two months. Thanks so much to everyone who comes! The majority of the students in this class can no longer take this much time off from work during lunch, so we're going to go ahead and cancel them beginning November 1.

I will be adding two early morning classes at Gold's Gym in Plano. The official schedule has not been released yet; however, the unofficial word is that these classes will be at 6:15am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The super-sweet ladies that currently come to Veria at lunch will now be coming to Gold's for early morning yoga. These new classes will begin on Tuesday, November 11th. That's not November 1st, it's November 11th. I will be out of town the first week in November.

Music Flow Yoga - Hallelujah

Here's the playlist from yesterday's (Sunday) music flow yoga class. I create and keep track of these by the Savasana (final relaxation) song, so that's essentially what I title the playlist. Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah has to be one of the all-time best songs ever, which puts this playlist right at the top of my favorites.

Have A Little Faith In Me, John Hiatt, The Best Of John Hiatt
Better Together, Jack Johnson, In Between Dreams
Peace Be Upon Us, Sheryl Crow, Detours
Love Love Love, Tristan Prettyman, Twentythree
Never Know, Jack Johnson, In Between Dreams
Every Ghetto, Every City, Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Shed, Macy Gray, The ID
Closer To Fine, Indigo Girls, Retrospective
The Way You Move (Radio Mix), OutKast, The Way You Move/Hey Ya!
She Talks To Angels, The Black Crowes, Greatest Hits 1990-1999
Simple As It Should Be, Tristan Prettyman, Twentythree
Wild World, Cat Stevens, The Very Best Of Cat Stevens
Angel, Jack Johnson, Sleep Through The Static
Hallelujah, Jeff Buckley, Grace

Enjoy!

Cute Kids & Timeframes

When Megan was born, somehow I found these cool frames called Timeframes. I loved the idea of it at the time, and have since gotten one for each of the four kids.

The frame comes with a mat with holes cut out to show your child at different ages, and they have a place at the top where they print the child's name. I still think they are the greatest things, and I never get tired of watching the holes fill in every year, and looking back to see how the kids have changed.

Unfortunately for my kids, this means I subject them to yearly pictures at JCPenney, so I can make sure I have an appropriate picture to fill the hole. For a while I tried to rely on school pictures, but they just never seem to turn out very well. JCPenney always does a great job.

When the kids were little, I made sure these picture appointments occurred on their birthdays. It was important to make sure the picture captured when they exactly turned that age. Fortunately for all of us, the crazy things that seem important when they are little fade with time. Now I'm lucky to get them to JCPenney before their next birthday. :)

So we've just finished the JCPenney rounds for this year. Mitch turned 15 in February (yea, I'm pretty late with his), Megan turned 14 in August, and Katie turned 11 in August (yep, late with hers too). Megan's pictures are the only ones that even occurred in her birthday month this year. Fortunately for Charlie, his Timeframe filled up when he turned 18, so I no longer subject him to the torture. :)

We do have some incredibly cute kids, if I do say so myself. :)

Here's Mitch's official 15 year picture:

And Megan at 14:

And Katie at 11:

I really do love the Timeframes and highly recommend them if you have a new baby. When they are little, the cutouts in the mat have a hole for pictures every 3 months until they are 2 years, and then it's yearly. I'm so glad I went to the effort to have all those pictures made, and have this unique and fun way to display and enjoy them.

MyTime Monday morning class

Effective October 1st, we are canceling the Monday morning 10:30am yoga class at MyTime. We had a few regulars in the class, but attendance hasn't been enough to maintain the class, and it hasn't picked up after summer ended. Last Monday was the last class for this time slot.
